LinkedIn Labs

  • One hour tele-seminar
  • $15.00
  • Each session is driven by the questions of the participants

LinkedIn Labs are an opportunity to get some practice with your LinkedIn profile and to ask questions about how to use LinkedIn.  For job seekers, freelancers, entrepreneurs, and people who know the importance of networking in managing your career, LinkedIn Labs is a quick and easy overview.  Because the sessions are question and answer driven, each one is different.  At a minimum we review the home page overview and make sure you know how to have the public page profile you want.  We usually talk about Groups, some Applications and ways to build a credible presence online.  I conduct the sessions as tele-seminars.  The reason I choose this format is that I think it is important for you to be interacting with your own profile.  When you see someone else manipulating a profile, you may remember a few things, but when you actually do some things during the lab you will go beyond remembering to understanding.  I’ve had a few people do more than one Lab because LinkedIn keeps adding new elements and we can cover new topics in each Lab.  So, whether it is your first time or a way to make yourself work on your LinkedIn profile and enhance your online presence, you are invited to join the next LinkedIn Lab.

  • Focusing on Twitter as a business communication tool

Twitter(R) is rapidly becoming a business communication tool.  While you may find it a silly little service for sharing way too much personal information with the world, you can’t deny that it is creeping into some interesting places.  Using Twitter as part of your overall communication strategy may or may not be for you, but if you’ve been wondering how the heck to use the thing, this Lab is for you.  We go through the basics of a Twitter profile and talk about a few ways you can use Twitter to be informed, do quick market research, to share your message, and to track trends.  Twitter is another free social media platform that could be helpful in building your personal or business brand.
