Permissions

I would like to reach a broad audience with my ideas and content, at the same time I also need to protect my work product. The writing and other content on this site is my intellectual property and is therefore copyrighted.  However, I do allow certain permissions.  To be transparent about what I do and do not permit, I’ve put together this list. Please let me know if I have missed a use or if you have a specific request by emailing me at info@barbarademarest.com.  Thanks in advance for your cooperation and support.

Permissions granted:

  • Please do link to my site or to a post or article.
  • Yes, you can take up to 250 words for a re-post on another site, you just have to link back to the post you excerpted from.
  • You can print my posts and use them internally in your organizations.  You can make up to 25 copies, but you cannot use them for any activity for which there is payment such as an event where you charge a fee.  And any printed copies must include “© 2009, www.barbarademarest.com. All rights reserved.”

Contact me for permission and written consent:

  • If you want to use one of my entire posts or articles.  I often will give permission if I am fully credited and there are links back to my site, but I want need to know the details first and approve.
  • If you want to use my content for a commercial purpose (where you are interested in selling or licensing my content in some form – printed, digital, audio, etc.), including selling or licensing printed or digital versions of my content.
